From a top vineyard site where the grapes reach great ripeness levels. This is full of fruit, with a candied quince and apricot nose, honeyed notes and fair bit of sweetness. Medium on the palate with full-on tropical fruit flavours, balanced by some grounding minerally notes and medium acidity. Long finish. Goes well with the heat of slightly spicy stews and curries, and lightly smoked and gamey meats.
From vines grown on clay, limestone, sandstone and iron-rich soils in the Grand Cru Zotzenberg vineyard. Vinification occurs in stainless steel vats without temperature control, and the wine is kept on lees for as long as possible.
