Gilles Baumann and Janine Cardeillac Baumann took up residence at the family farm in Cassagnoles, Gondrin, in 1974. At that time the vineyards were primarily used to produce Armagnac, but spurred on by his passion for the vine Gilles gradually restructured and expanded the vineyard and cellar and diversified production. They produced their first bottles of 'Floc de Gascogne' in 1978 and white wine in 1980.

Now Gilles and Janine cultivate 76ha of vines, producing Côtes de Gascogne Vin de Pays. 65ha are devoted to white grapes including Colombard, Gros Manseng, Sauvignon and Ugni Blanc, from which the single varietal Sauvignon and the blended wine Colomblanc are made.
