Bright golden yellow and intensely aromatic, with strong heady aromas of ginger, pepper, apricot, tea leaves, cinnamon. The palate has a lighter more finessed touch with clear flavours of peach, apricot and sweet spices coming through strongly and finishing long. Medium-dry with low acidity, this wine is good with fruity or spiced dishes and rich foods like pungent or high fat cheeses and smoked meats. Albert Seltz himself recommends tuna marinated in ginger or sushi.
100% Gewürztraminer from 20 year old vineyards on the Berg vineyard. Hand harvested at the peak of ripeness, following pressing they are fermented in stainless steel then aged in contact with the lees for complexity and body.
